the brg team
Andreasen has served as BRG's Executive Director since the summer of 2008 (having joined the gallery in 2007). A native of Miami, Florida, he relocated to Louisiana's capital city in 2005. Since then, he's shifted away from a planned career in the courtroom to a life in the arts. He continues to work to grow both Baton Rouge Gallery and the arts in the greater Baton Rouge area in general through a number of ventures. During his time with the gallery, he has led the organization to new heights in programming, charitable giving, art sales and more. Prior to his work at BRG, he also worked as a freelance entertainment writer, having interviewed the likes of visual artist Robert Williams, musical legends George Clinton and Marco Benevento, comedians D.L. Hughley and Lewis Black and many popular local bands such as Galactic, The New Orleans Bingo! Show and others.
